What is endothelia

Endothelia is a rare form of cancer which affects the endothelia (the lining around the lungs, abdomen, and heart).

What causes tumor

The main cause of mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos. When invisible microscopic asbestos fibers enter the body through breathing or swallowing, and will cause normal cells to body health turn out to be cancer (mesothelioma) over a period of time.

And asbestos exposure can be either direct or indirect.

Direct exposure to asbestos occurs when a person comes in direct contact with asbestos fibers. These persons can include asbestos miners, construction workers, building restoration, shipbuilders, ship breakers, clutch brake lining manufacturers/mechanics.

Indirectly asbestos exposure occurs when a person comes in contact and breathing/swallowing asbestos fibers. These persons can include friends and family of people who are in direct contact with asbestos fibers. These people are an integral part of the asbestos fibers in these clothes, skin, hair, and get revealed family and friends of these fibers when they come in contact with these people.

To develop mesothelioma and not for people exposed for long periods of time to asbestos. Even short periods of exposure to asbestos causes a variety of diseases including mesothelioma.

Types of tumor

There are basically three types of mesothelioma.

-Pleural mesothelioma

-Peritoneal Mesothelioma

-Pericardial mesothelioma

Pleural mesothelioma

Pleural mesothelioma affects the lining around the lungs (pleura). When inhaled, sharp, microscopic asbestos fibers damage these cells, causing scarring and mutations that lead to cellular plaques with the passage of time. These paintings gradually deteriorating lung function, and ultimately lead to cancer (pleural mesothelioma). Pleural mesothelioma is the most common form of mesothelioma, which consists of more than 80% of all mesothelioma diagnosis.

Symptoms of pleural mesothelioma include one or more of the following.

-Mild to severe pain in the chest.

-Constant shortness of breath

-Fluid retention in and around the lungs

-Mild to severe cough

-Fixed while breathing wheezing

Traces of blood in the sputum.

Peritoneal Mesothelioma

Peritoneal Mesothelioma affects the lining around the stomach. This cancer occurs when dealing with asbestos fibers in the digestive system. Peritoneal Mesothelioma is not very common with about 10 to 20 percent of all mesothelioma diagnosis that fall into this category.

Symptoms of Peritoneal Mesothelioma include one or more of the following.

-Mild to severe pain in the abdomen

-Fluid retention in the abdomen or gastrointestinal

Blocks of tissue in the abdomen.

-Regular diarrhea or constipation

-Sudden unexplained weight loss

-Constant feeling of nausea

Pericardial mesothelioma

Pericardial Mesothelioma affects the lining around the heart. And very few are diagnosed with pericardial mesothelioma, which makes the rarest form of mesothelioma.

Symptoms of pericardial mesothelioma include one or more of the following.

-Mild to severe pain in the chest

-Constant shortness of breath

Heart palpitations.

-Mild to severe cough

Asbestos-related diseases

It is generally believed that exposure to asbestos can only form of mesothelioma. This is not true.

Even though mesothelioma is still the most common outcome of other diseases including asbestosis, asbestos exposure and lung cancer.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a fatal disease caused by asbestos exposure, and should not be mistaken for mesothelioma. Parenchymal tissues inside the lungs for inflammation in people who suffer from pulmonary fibrosis. This causes malfunctioning lungs and can be fatal.

Lung cancer caused by asbestos is a killer, but fortunately that is extremely rare in the United States

Mesothelioma treatment

After initial asbestos exposure may take between 30 to 40 years (in some cases) to mesothelioma symptoms to the surface.

The bad news is that by the time the disease is diagnosed, it is almost always in an advanced stage of recovery and will not respond to most treatments available today.

After diagnosis, the person lives painful for about 12 to 18 months.

The good news is that surgeons today use a combination of new techniques (all under trial) for the diagnosis and treatment of mesothelioma, resulting in reduced pain during the treatment, the life expectancy of nearly 5 years after diagnosis.

Get a diagnosis of tumor

If you have been in any profession related to asbestos, or is a family member or friend of someone involved in such industry, please get yourself a diagnosis of smoothie tumor by a physician/surgeon who specializes in the latest techniques for diagnosing mesothelioma/treatment. You can have a very active and healthy feeing today, but could be a Mesothelioma currently within you, and gradually reached the stage where the total recovery would be impossible. If detected, can save you a lot, including your life
